We couple of volunteers organized NYC4ANNA event in Times square, NYC on 9th Apr 2011 from 12-3pm. We rose to show our silent solidarity to Anna Hazare who was doing fast to protest against corruption rampant in India. There were some 400 people gathered to support and sign the petition against corruption.

It was successful event with a lot of Indian people talking about corruption and showing banners to support Anna and remove corruption.

I ask everyone to stand against corruption in India, whether it is done by some bureaucrat or any politician. If we have to make India free of corruption then we have to start at our home. We have to promise ourselves that we will rise to the occasion and free our country of corruption.
